Locations of Community Toxics Collections will be provided when you schedule your appointment. EMAIL OR CALL at least 24 HOURS prior to the collection event.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, administrative staff will be working remotely with access to voicemails only on the main line. Please call (707) 364-6927 to speak directly with staff to schedule appointments.
Please provide the following information when calling or sending an e-mail: name, phone number, date and location of collection event, and preferred appointment time.

Please make an appointment at least 24 hours prior to the collection event. Once the appointment request is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation with the address of the collection event. Events have a limit of 80 appointments.

Drop off box available M-F 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
HAZARDOUS WASTE DROP OFF
You can bring your hazardous waste material to
the Central Disposal Site (Bldg. 5), 500 Mecham Rd, Petaluma.
Hours: Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 7:30 am-2:30 pm. 795-2025
Directions:
Take Hwy. 101 to the Cotati off-ramp
Take Hwy. 116 west toward Sebastopol
Left on Stony Point S.
Right on Mecham Rd.
The Central Disposal Site is located on the right.
Transportation & packing: State transportation laws limit each vehicle to a maximum or 15 gallons of liquid (with a maximum of 5 gallons per container) or 125 pounds of solid material. Never mix chemicals * Place in sealed containers in the trunk, packed to prevent spills * Syringes/needles must be in a sealed and labeled approved sharps container.
NOT ACCEPTED: Electronics,explosives or ammunition, radioactive materials, biological wastes (except syringes), controlled substances.
